The HINES in partnership with AMSA Milan has chosen a modern method for the treatment of urban solid waste for its new residential area “Porta Nuova” located in Via della Liberazione in Milan: ENVAC, a Swedish world leading company in the field of recycling and automated municipal solid waste, in collaboration with CO.VAR. It has installed the most innovative waste management system, the first in Italy (you can find the explanation of this system in the video below).

The system works through kilometers of pipes that lead waste from houses to the compactors; to be emptied, they should be collected by trucks of AMSA Milan.

To meet this need in 2013 we were contacted by CO.VAR.

Thanks to our forty years of experience in the field of lifting and handling we made available to ENVAC – CO.VAR. the technologies required for the taking-over of compactors to AMSA Milan.

Indeed, we provided 2 side good lifts with capacity of 18000 Kg.

ENVAC has already sold about 600 plants of this type around the world, 90 of them in Sweden. In Spain, particularly in the Olympic Village of Barcelona that has great visibility, there are more than 60. Interest has been expressed from Rome to districts like EUR or Tridente. Being the Milan plant the first in Italy, we wish to develop the relationship created with ENVAC for future achievements by the Swedish company.
